Fire Door Inspections & Reporting

What are Fire Doors?

Fire doors play a crucial role in passive fire protection, limiting the spread of fire and smoke, providing safe escape routes, and protecting life and property.

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, responsible persons are legally required to ensure fire doors are regularly inspected and maintained.

The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 also specify that multi-occupied residential buildings with storeys over 11 metres must have fire doors inspected at least every six months in communal areas and annually within individual flats.
